Synopsis: Freddy Freeman is looking into recent events that occurred in Kahndaq including looking into their mysterious leader who shares a connection with. Undaunted by the fact that his "benefactors" are not sharing what knowledge they may have Freddy is relying on his own research skills and deductive reasoning to find what information he can about Teth-Adam as he looks to the past to help him in the present.

“Freddy you’ve become obsessed with this. I don’t understand you were progressing so well with your original thesis why are you asking to take time off to do this side project."
He could hear them as clearly now as he did the first day. Dr. Dixon wasn’t pleased that he was taking time off to do additional work, but he thought it would be for the best that he take some time off before he went forward to finish his work which would go a long way into helping him finish up his thesis work which he felt he could probably easily parlay into dissertation, but the moment the announcement he had come he knew something change it was as if something inside of him was awakened again. He didn’t know when or how but someone else was connected. It wasn’t the first time that he had felt the connection, but this one was far stronger than the one before. He couldn’t put his finger upon it until he saw the announcement made by the one called Khem-Adam, Black Adam.
The very name resonated inside of him and he knew that this was changing things. The world as it should be as it was was changing and no good could come from it if it was not handled with the care it required, but as he was not receiving the answers that he thought he would receive when he changed forms he knew that he would have to seek the answers out himself. It was as if someone actively did not want him to know the truth of things and there was very little that he could do to draw the answers out if “they” were not ready to share the information with him.
It was not the first time that knowledge was withheld from him, but instead of getting angry and obstinate Freddy saw it as a challenge a challenge that needed to be overcame if he was to determine why he felt a connection with a man he never met. More than that with a man who had risen to power without so much as a peep from “them”. He knew that the man was different, on some level he knew that there paths were similar, but he also knew that they were meant to protect and defend, not rule. This was not what they were meant to do. There were far too many temptations there and it could potentially send the wrong message. They were to be the example, but not like this, but Freddy was a student which meant that he would do what he could to find out what was not being shared with him.
As he knew that this would plague he asked for a formal sabbatical so he could research some additional information. Unfortunately Freddy was unsure how long it would take him to uncover what he needed to find out so he wanted to make sure that there were no expectations for him to be back within the next month or so. It was going to take time. Which meant that he was going to have to return to New York to work as it was one of the places where he lived. He did most of his work in Chicago as that was where he decided to do his graduate work at the University of Chicago. He had considered London, but Chicago had won him over, not that he didn’t consult with many of the professors at the various universities in Great Britain, but Chicago was where had made his home for the last two years.
Thankfully he still maintained a residence in New York which is where he was as there were constant discussions going on in the UN about Khandaq. This wasn’t something that happened every day, but with the destabilization of the former government and the creation of the next it was something to behold something that would go down in the history books, but it also presented a danger for those that were like Freddy and this Khem-Adam. He was certain that someone would take notice and if they disagreed with what was done it could lead to a conflict that the world was not prepared for.
It weighed heavily on his mind, but while he kept himself aware of what was going on between the various governments of the world he knew that the best thing that he could do was to check into the books even more he would need to speak with the experts. Those that were familiar with Egypt’s past. That’s where Freddy believed that some of the answers lay. There had to be something out there and if it was anything like he was involved in he knew that only he would recognize the clues and be able to fashion them together to reveal the truth of things.
Given the work that he was doing for his graduate work it was easy to weave a tale together that he was looking into information for research that required him to interview various Egyptologists and archaeologists that would be able to provide him with a bit of information. He also used that to acquire information about the current ruler of the Republic of Khandaq as it had been referred to.
Unfortunately this meant that he was on the go. His apartment began filled with various recorded conversations along with journals that were on loan to him along with information about Khem-Adam which wasn’t easily obtainable. The world knew only what Khandaq let them know but Freddy slowly began to construct a timeline working backwards in attempt to determine when this Khem-Adam emerged.
Freddy had his work cut out for him looking through the various texts and tomes that could provide him with hint of a similar situation that he found himself in. Of course he knew when he exhausted all avenues of the normal he would have to go outside the box and consult the denizens of the world that he had been opened to him by accepting the offer of his benefactors. They held knowledge that had been forgotten and hidden from the rest of the world, swept away for everyone’s sake, but he had to draw some of this out if he was to unravel the mystery.
This would not be done in a day, a week or a month. It would take some time and he needed to have the time not a deadline upon which he had to return and continue his work. He was placing his academic life on hold, but this is what it meant to be the Chosen One, the champion. He had to place the world before anything he wanted as he needed to ensure its safety. This was far too important for him to dismiss.
If there is more for him to learn then he would learn it. He would seek it out and discover what this connection was, but he would not do it blindly. Taking too much time could be just as dangerous as rushing in, which is why he continued to press forward as expediently as he could. Freddy would gather what he could by whatever means that were at his disposal. If there were clues he would discover them and hopefully shed some light upon this matter.
